High gloss Yellow Crackle glaze is not crazed but intentionally creates a web of overall crazing under the surface glaze. Standing proud at 12 inches, the shoulder width is five and a half inches. This vase marked a transition, around 1929, when Red Wing Potteries began to launch their Art Pottery and added Glazed Ware to their lines of stoneware and brush ware. This design, Form 186, was made a part of The Egyptian Line created by staff designers. This item is in pristine condition, with no chips, cracks, or hairline fractures.
